About Michiel

Michiel is the owner of Costa Cálida Real Estate and has been an estate agent for 20 years: he has worked in real estate since 2006. Together with Karen, our interior stylist, we have built up deep-rooted knowledge of the market and grown into an established name in the Gooi and Vechtstreek region.
Since 2025 we have also been active in Spain, specifically on the Costa Cálida around Murcia. We've lived here before ourselves, and have since built up a wealth of knowledge and experience in the Spanish property market.
We know that buying a home in Spain isn't just about location, price and appearance, but above all about clear guidance, reliability and the right preparation. Every buyer has different wishes — that's why we look at your situation, budget, housing preferences and plans for the future. You get honest advice, clear explanations and guidance in your own language.
For the legal side we work with an independent, Dutch-speaking lawyer. Alongside that, we bring in a gestor: a Spanish administrative specialist who helps with practical matters such as applying for an NIE number, tax filings and arranging permits — this is different from the legal assessment carried out by your lawyer.
