Who we are

Costa Cálida Real Estate (“we”) is responsible for the processing of personal data through this website. You can reach us at costacalidarealestate@gmail.com, +31 6 26 79 88 98 (NL).

What data we process and why

We only process data that is needed to help you:

  • Contact details and your message (name, email address, phone number, question) via the contact form, the guide download form, email or WhatsApp, to answer your question and arrange a call or viewing.
  • Technical data (such as IP address, browser and pages visited) through our hosting provider, for security and to run the website.
  • Website statistics through Google Analytics, only if you give consent.
  • Your IP address is shared with Open-Meteo when the weather in the top right is loaded. No cookies are set.

The legal basis is your consent (statistics), performing a request from you or preparing an agreement (contact), and our legitimate interest in a secure, working website.

Cookies and local storage

Functional: we store your cookie choice, and on the mortgage page the progress of your document list, locally in your browser. These are not tracking cookies.

Analytics: Google Analytics (Google Ireland Limited) measures how the website is used. This only happens after you click “Accept”. You can change your choice at any time via “Cookie settings” at the bottom of every page.

Who we share data with

  • Netlify (hosting and form handling).
  • Google (storage of newsletter sign-ups in Google Workspace).
  • Google (website statistics, only with consent).
  • Open-Meteo (weather).
  • WhatsApp/Meta when you message us via WhatsApp.

We do not sell your data. We only share your data with partners such as lawyers, gestors or mortgage advisers with your consent and as far as needed for your enquiry.

Newsletter (Costa Cálida Insider)

If you sign up for our newsletter we process your name, email address, optionally your phone number, your language and the page where you signed up. The legal basis is your consent. We only use this data to send you the monthly market report, home selections and other messages from Costa Cálida Real Estate. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in every email or by emailing costacalidarealestate@gmail.com; after that you will receive no more messages. The list is kept in Google Workspace (Google Sheets) and/or a newsletter service we choose, until you unsubscribe. This applies to subscribers in the UK and the EU alike.

Retention

We do not keep messages and contact details longer than necessary: in principle no more than 24 months after the last contact, unless a legal obligation or an ongoing client relationship requires longer. Statistics are kept according to the Google Analytics settings.

Your rights

You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, object to and port your data, and you can withdraw consent at any time. Send your request to costacalidarealestate@gmail.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, in the Netherlands the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens and in Spain the Agencia Española de Protección de Datos (AEPD).

Security and changes

We take appropriate measures to protect your data. We may update this policy; the date at the top shows the latest version.
